mutilated bodies of three missing political dissidents in Pakistan

I also have a link to this on the right hand side of this blog.

This list does not record the countries with the worst security situations, rather those most volatile countries where there is the greatest likelihood of escalated violence in the immediate future. While some countries are likely to remain in this condition, newer entries are marked out.

A cleric who negotiated a peace accord that ending fighting between the Taliban and security forces in Pakistan's Swat valley says he is leaving the region to protest the government's failure to impose Islamic law. Sufi Muhammad's announcement today casts doubt on the durability of a controversial peace effort in the valley. US officials have expressed concern that the deal will create a sanctuary for allies of al-Qaida. President Asif Ali Zardari has said he will only sign an order introducing Islamic law in the region once peace has been restored there. Imposing Islamic law was the key plank of the peace accord.

Violence erupted in southwestern Pakistan today after the discovery of the mutilated bodies of three missing political dissidents, with one police officer killed and three others injured. Activists immediately blamed Pakistan's spy agencies for the dissidents' grisly deaths. The unrest in Baluchistan province — where a kidnapped American was recently freed after two months — raises another threat to the stability of nuclear-armed Pakistan. The country already faces spreading Islamist militancy in its northwest and mounting US pressure to hunt down al-Qaida leaders on its soil.

The list goes on to describe countries around the world who have islamist terrorising the population, Journalists, clerics, missionaries etc. and the politics of these places. Makes for rather interesting reading. Also lets us keep up with what is happening around the world.

Ministry Finds Fault with Yale interfaith Declaration

This crap will never cease to amaze me. When are the "Christian" leaders going to learn....there is no agreement to be made between muslims and anyone else...let alone Christians for any reason....

Ministry Finds Fault with Yale Christian-Muslim Declaration.

A ministry that works with the persecuted church found parts of a declaration recently adopted by Christian and Muslim leaders troubling because it did not emphasize the differences between the two religions enough and gave too much credit to Islam.
Barnabas Fund’s international director, Dr. Patrick Sookhdeo, a former Muslim, says the inclusion of the Qur’anic commandment to speak to Christian and Jews (Q 3:64) in the opening passage of the “Final Declaration of the Yale Common Word Conference, July 2008” actually calls for the conversion of Christians and Jews to Islam .
The opening passage also includes the “ascribe no partner” phrase, which is a Muslim critique of the Christian doctrines of the Trinity and the deity of Jesus, according to the U.K.-based Barnabas Fund.
“It seems that the implications of this verse were not realized or discussed,” commented Barnabas Fund in a reflection on the declaration published Tuesday.
The declaration was made at the conclusion of an eight-day conference at Yale University that was in direct response to a letter signed by 138 Muslim leaders last fall that called for peace between Muslims and Christians for the sake of world peace. Over 140 conference participants unanimously approved on July 31 a cooperative statement that signaled a new beginning of collaboration between Christians and Muslims where stronger assertions of faith would not just be allowed but required.
Barnabas Fund raised several concerns with the final declaration. The document raises Islam, Muhammad and the Qur’an to the same level as Christianity through the language “our common Abrahamic heritage” and “Judeo-Christian-Islamic monotheistic heritage,” the ministry pointed out.
“This is a step towards affirming that Muhammad is a prophet and the Qur’an a word of God,” the ministry said. “As Christians we affirm that the promises of Abraham are fulfilled in Christ.”
Other unclear parts in the declaration state that “no Muslim or Christian … should tolerate the denigration or desecration of one another’s sacred symbols, founding figures, or places of worship.”
Drafters should clarify what this means because for orthodox Muslims, the ministry explained, saying Muhammad is not a prophet, that the Qur’an is not divinely inspired, or to invite a Muslim to acknowledge Jesus as the Son of God are all considered blasphemy.
The ministry further argues that the declaration was also unclear in what it meant with freedom of religion. It did not assert that individuals have the right to choose, change and proclaim their religion without fear of punishment, nor did it effectively address the full reciprocity of Christians freely sharing Christianity and building churches on Muslim lands – a freedom followers of Islam are given in western countries, Barnabas Fund pointed out.
“We raise these issues because of our concern for the Biblical Christian faith and for the implications of the ‘Common Word’ process for Christian minorities in Muslim lands, Christian mission in Muslim lands, and converts from Islam to Christianity around the world,” Barnabas Fund concluded.
“Although we respect and love Muslims, Christians cannot accept Islam as an equal and valid revelation from God. The denial of the deity of Christ and His redemptive work as well as of the Trinity will always stand in the way of interfaith dialogue and co-operation,” the ministry argues. “Just as Muslims cannot accept the Christian denial of Muhammad’s prophethood and the Qur’an’s status as the word of God, so Christians must take a clear stand on the central doctrines of their faith.”
Despite the list of critiques, Barnabas Fund emphasized at the beginning of its reflection that it “fully affirm[s] and support[s] all endeavors to work for peace in this torn world,” and welcomes the “sincerity and goodwill of all involved in the process.”
The ministry also said cooperation on social and economic issues should be based upon the groups’ common humanity, rather than a “supposed” common theology as proposed in the declaration.

Pledges to protect Christians.

The following headlines from ACC News. Just goes to show that it is happening, and this is just 2 of the headlines. How can we trust that any Prime Minister "will protect Christians" in any part of the world, when it is clear that they are not being protected, otherwise they would be free to practice their faith in peace and quiet and would not have to flee the city to seek refuge in outlying villages or seek refuge in other countries, either legally or as refugees, asylum seekers, or any other category. Go to the website for further info.

Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Maliki has vowed to protect Christians in Mosul after 1,000 police were deployed in the wake of sectarian attacks in the northern city. BBC News reported that Mosul's provincial governor said hundreds of Christian families had fled the city in the past week to seek refuge in outlying villages. more

Degar Montagnard Christians in Vietnam's Central Highlands faced another tense day Monday, October 6, after investigators confirmed that a preacher was killed, apparently by Vietnamese security forces, as part of a crackdown on Christianity and 'house churches' in the area. more

Worldwide Persecution

This is my rant for today.... hhmm, I think I had better stop this ranting. But then again, why should I...this is my blog, and I do it for my benefit...sort of like keeping a journal.

Worldwide Persecution….
There are so many places around the world (more than 50) where Christians are still persecuted and imprisoned for their believe in Christ. Yet, they still meet to worship Jesus and no amount of persecution is going to keep them down. In many places it is illegal to even own a Bible or any other identifying paraphernalia to do with Jesus, or God.
Those who boldly follow Christ—in spite of government edict or radical opposition—can face harassment, arrest, torture and even death.

Reminds me of the persecution LUTHER and all the other Reformers had to face in order to bring about The Way Of Jesus and the Church Jesus wanted for the world. A church that was not governed by greedy corrupt officials of the Romanist papists and the Roman Catholic Church.

In so many places around the world it is always the way that when such people are failing in their ways to keep people under their system for gain that so many people are exiled, executed, or persecuted. They do not want individual people to have their own thoughts….WHY??? Because they will lose control of the population and so lose the wealth that comes along with it. By keeping people ignorant from the true ways contained in the Bible, they can keep the masses under control by fear.

History is repeating itself as is evident of the world-wide catastrophes, people in prison because of their belief, so many preaching their way is the true way, Rome and the heads of other beliefs up in arms and doing everything they can to put a stop to it. Many people claiming they know the way to Christ and will show it, if only people would give enough of their money then they too can find it….I get so angry when people are told by the leaders of any church or ministry that to tithe or give generously is to show true love and faith, and that by tithing first then worry about the rest of their commitments that God will provide.

I also get angry at the gullibility of people that believe this rot. I have seen people go without food just to pay their tithe, and then the pastor gives them a voucher for food shopping. While people believe that this is what Jesus wants there is no real hope for anyone. Jesus did not expect tithes, Baptism of babies, or many of the other practices that are being imposed on the people involved in these types of ministries. Furthermore, Jesus taught His lessons in the open or a few people gathered together in a place of residence. He deplored the pomp and greed but believed to help anyone who needed it with no expectations of a reward or recompense.

These are some of the reasons why I will never again belong to any denomination. Yet I can talk about Jesus with my friends and that constitutes worshipping Jesus. I can lend a hand to people in need with no expectations of being paid. That constitutes worshipping Jesus and doing good works in His name. I can say a prayer of thanks for the food I eat and all that I have, without wanting bigger, better, more expensive, to try and be better than someone else, which is greed. I can give thanks for the health of my grandchildren and other family members, even though I am somewhat of a novelty in my family of unbelievers. I do not believe in that place called purgatory that the RCC tried to get me to believe for so many years. I believe that Jesus will come again – when I do not know – nor do I profess to have any inside information like some other people do.

These people in prisons the world over are there because their oppressors fears that other people will move away from what they want and see the light so to speak. Keep ‘em ignorant and therefore under control seems to be their maxim. There are also too many to count who are in underground home churches who secretly worship Jesus but keep it quiet. This just does not happen here in OZ…people are free to worship how and where they want. I have no real problem with this as I am in a country where I am free to choose my beliefs. And that is how I would like it to stay. But with the prevailing winds that are blowing the foul smell of islam this way, I can only hope and pray that we will remain a free country. However, if the islamists ever get their way, then I don’t know which way people will go. I do not think I am going to see it in my lifetime, given that I might only have 30 odd years left. But I do have grandchildren and soon great-grandchildren on the way, and they will most definitely be facing the islamists if this government does not halt muslim immigration and start deporting those who are here illegally. It is too easy for them to practice taggiya, yeah sure, some say they are persecuted by the sunnis, if they are Shiites, or vice versa, yet they are still muslim…and they still hate others who are not. They come here to a better life, yet try to destroy those who held out a helping hand.

I would like to know why our government does not let more Christian or even non-Christian people in from countries that share our ideologies. Stop this madness that is political correctness. Although I do believe that Australia is the least PC country as we can be. We have far too many muslims here now as it is and bit by bit their demands are increasing, and to everyone else’s detriment I might add. I hate the thought that we might one day be the minority in a land we love.
