While naive, giddy and myopic establishment leftists have been celebrating the great "change" heralded by the election of Barack Obama, the President elect has been busy appointing people to key positions who advocate the same Neo-Con imperialist foreign policy crafted during eight years of the Bush administration.

Palin next President of the USA??
Could Sarah Palin make it to, and as, the Next President of the United States in 2012? That's if there is a United States as we know it.... with Obama wanting to join forces with the european union and his "57" states slip of the tongue, maybe she will be struggling just to maintain herself and her family from falling into the hands of the islamists.
With the 'half-black' president that is now in power...or will be in about 70 more days....I wonder what the half-white part of him will be doing. So many racist black people tend to forget this fact about obama, they voted for the half black part of him....
Palin’s Next Steps
By Don | November 7, 2008
Now that the election is over, Sarah Palin has to chart a difficult path if she wants to seek the presidency in 2012.
From the Politico.
Though the long knives are out for her in the aftermath of the sweeping defeat suffered by the Republican presidential ticket, Sarah Palin has signaled she has no intention of fading quietly from the national scene back into Arctic anonymity.
Palin, who captivated Americans with her meteoric rise from small-town mayor to Alaska governor to surprise Republican vice presidential nominee, still generates broad enthusiasm among the conservative base and is considered an ascending star by Beltway conservatives.
But amid the wreckage from the Obama-led Democratic hurricane, there is no obvious route back to the national spotlight for Palin or easy course to chart for a possible presidential run in 2012.
Palin told CNN Wednesday morning “2012 sounds so far off that I can’t even imagine what I’d be doing then.”
Still, after casting her vote early Tuesday morning here in her hometown, where homemade “Palin 2012” signs occasionally appeared at political events in the last few weeks, Palin hinted she was considering repackaging herself for her next foray onto the national stage by hewing closer to the image of good-government pragmatist that she projected here, rather than the fire-breathing partisan that emerged on the presidential campaign trail.
The attacks on Palin are nothing but sour grapes, but that shouldn’t surprise conservatives who were distrustful of the McCain camp from the start.

Because Wall Street has gotten its bailout, the Democrats figure that they can now spend even more, supposedly to benefit Main Street.
A lot will be said and written about the presidential election, but one central fact remains: John McCain was ahead in the polls until the financial crisis emerged and President Bush was pushed by Treasury Secretary Paulson into seeking a $700-billion Wall Street bailout on September 18. The crisis benefited Obama, even though he voted for the bailout, because he was not a Republican, like McCain or Bush. Republicans were blamed because a Republican was in the White House.
The exit polls on November 4 still found the public opposed to the bailout by a 56-39 percent margin.
The panic around mid-September infected the conservative media, especially Fox News, which became a soapbox for the bailout that now exceeds $1.8 trillion. But rather than bail out or “rescue” anything, the hastily–passed measure, ironically named the “Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008,” started a process that now threatens national bankruptcy.
Because Wall Street has gotten its bailout, the Democrats figure that they can now spend even more, supposedly to benefit Main Street. Which means spending and debt will get even more out of control and more socialist measures, this time under President Obama, will be taken.
The Global Europe Anticipation Bulletin, which predicted the current financial crisis, is warning that the U.S. Government will default on its debts by the summer of 2009 and that the “unfolding implosion” of the U.S. economy will result in the dramatic decline of America as a world power.
This is not a natural disaster, like a hurricane or earthquake. It has been brought about by reckless decisions made by people on Wall Street and in the federal government, including Congress. It was man-made, and President Bush clearly deserves much of the blame. But why aren’t the media demanding accountability for how the Bush Administration and the Congress permitted the nation to come to this point?
Incredibly, we still know very little about what happened behind closed administration doors. Rep. Scott Garrett, Republican of New Jersey, is one member of Congress who wants some answers from the Bush White House. One White House official simply shrugged his shoulders when I asked him how this crisis just happened to emerge six weeks before the election. Either they don’t know or don’t care to know. Either way, it borders on criminal negligence.
We do know that the powerful pro-China investment banking firm of Goldman Sachs, which backed Obama and the Democratic Party, has its fingerprints all over this debacle. Not surprisingly, the firm now benefits (so far to the tune of $10 billion) from the “rescue” package forced through Congress by its former chairman, Henry Paulson, and even got $5 billion from Obama booster Warren Buffett.
The secretive financial hedge funds, such as those run by John A. Paulson and George Soros, who made $3.7 billion and $2.9 billion in 2007 respectively, also deserve serious scrutiny.
Meanwhile, even before the election results were in, Kimberley A. Strassel of the Wall Street Journal was urging the Republicans “to start elevating the new generation of reformers―folks like Virginia Rep. Eric Cantor or Wisconsin’s Paul Ryan” in the House. She called them intellectuals, never mentioning the fact that they backed the Wall Street bailout that her colleague, Stephen Moore of the Journal’s editorial page, now admits was a big mistake. “I want to apologize,” Moore said. “I drank the Kool-aid.”
Cantor and Ryan, a member of the House Budget Committee, were good conservatives until they drank the Kool-aid and backed the bailout. Now they have lost their credibility on fiscal issues.
Of course, there were a lot of Kool-aid drinkers in Congress, including House Minority Leader John Boehner, Minority Whip Roy Blunt, Cantor, and House Republican Conference Chairman Adam Putnam of Florida. However, in the end, most House Republicans opposed the bailout, objecting to its socialist nature and questioning whether it would even work. By any objective measure, they were right. It hasn’t “stabilized” anything.
This is critical to note: all of the House Republican leaders, including Cantor, Putnam, Blunt, and Boehner, supported the bailout. But they couldn’t get a majority of House Republicans to support them.
Putnam has now resigned as chairman of the House Republican Conference, and Rep. Jeb Hensarling of Texas, the chairman of the conservative Republican Study Committee who opposed the bailout, will run for that post.
Blunt may resign, and Cantor is said to want that post. Boehner says he will seek to remain in his position. On the Senate side, Republican Leader Senator Mitch McConnell not only voted for the bailout but ran for re-election on a platform of bringing home the federal pork to his constituents. He has also lost his credibility on spending issues.
In desperation, conservative radio talk-show host Laura Ingraham touts former House Speaker Newt Gingrich as a source of new ideas. But he is hardly a profile in courage. Gingrich was against the bailout plan until, on September 29, he issued a statement in favor of it. Then, in an article for Human Events on October 7, he called it “bad” and stated, “If Senator McCain is not prepared to separate himself from the Bush-Paulson economic program, he has no opportunity to win. The country is deeply fed up with the Bush presidency and angry about the Paulson bailout.”
Before it became fashionable to advocate more oil drilling, Gingrich was appearing with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in an Al Gore-financed global warming ad. Until gas prices started rising, Gingrich had been an advocate of “green conservatism” and was proposing a Gore-like “Contract with the Earth.”
In addition to his flip-flops, Gingrich has a well-known history of personal “indiscretions” that should disqualify him from any public role in a movement that purports to advocate traditional moral values.
Rep. Thaddeus McCotter, who called the bailout “Fleece in our time,” is beginning to receive more and more attention. He is the chairman of the House Republican Conference Policy Committee, the principal source of legislative initiatives for the party in the House. He won re-election in part because he came across as a leader in a revolt by House conservatives against Bush and Paulson over the bailout plan.
In a discussion with a local newspaper, McCotter was blunt, alluding to McCain’s double talk when he suspended his campaign to come to Washington to address the financial crisis. “McCain put himself in an interesting position,” McCotter said. “At the White House meeting, he said he liked what House Republicans were doing. Then the next day, he decided it was his job to get House Republicans to support the bailout.”
This erratic performance meant that McCain had blown any chance to exploit the financial crisis to his political advantage.
McCotter noted that it was a lot harder for McCain to complain about $70 billion in earmarks when he pushed for a $700-billion bailout. This sealed McCain’s fate, making his warnings about Obama’s socialism ring hollow.
Remaining true to his constituents and his own beliefs, McCotter rejected the notion that we need “just a little socialism to prevent a lot of socialism later” and said Republicans “abandoned principle for expediency” when they supported the bailout.
The same goes for the faux conservatives in the media.
Having recommended two phony “fiscal conservatives” for important positions in the House, Strassel also used her column to urge Republicans to quit “harping on immigrants and gay marriage.” The term “harping on immigrants” means that she believes that Big Business should be able to continue to exploit cheap labor from abroad and conservatives ought to quit advocating secure borders.
As far as gay marriage is concerned, amendments to prohibit gay marriage passed in liberal California, Arizona and Florida on November 4. This is one of the bright spots for conservatives. But Strassel wants to throw this advantage away.
One thing that I have realized, in analyzing the coverage of the campaign, is that the media are populated by many “conservatives” who are not really so conservative. It is a strange phenomenon. It is a form of false advertising.
This category includes the Fox News cheerleaders for the Wall Street bailout, such as Bill Kristol, Fred Barnes, Charles Krauthammer and Bill O’Reilly, and columnists David Brooks (New York Times), Peggy Noonan (Wall Street Journal) and Kathleen Parker (Washington Post Writers Group), who ridiculed Sarah Palin because she doesn’t enjoy the New York Times and appeals to ordinary people.
I am also getting tired of listening to former Bush adviser Karl Rove, who makes regular appearances on Fox News and writes for the Wall Street Journal and Newsweek, being constantly described as “the architect.” It’s true that he helped elect Bush two times, but considering what happened on November 4, isn’t it about time for somebody in the media to ask him some pointed questions about what he built and why it didn’t last.

big govt bailouts
from ninemsn news....
Government announces 22 million dollar ABC bailout
7/11/2008 2:00:00 PM
Deputy Prime Minister Julia Gillard has announced that the government will spend $22 million to keep ABC Learning Centres operating until the end of the year.
Gillard added that early findings from investigatons by ABC's administrators showed that some 40 percent of the company's 1200 childcare centres are not making a profit.
The news comes as Australian banks revealed they are owed $760 milliion by the collapsed childcare giant.
Commonwealth Bank of Australia Ltd (CBA) confirmed on Friday it has a debt exposure to childcare operator ABC Learning Centres Ltd of around $240 million, taking the total confirmed exposure of the major banks to an estimated $762 million.
Toy wholesaler Funtastic Ltd also said on Friday its earnings could be adversely affected by ABC going into voluntary administration and receivership.
CBA said its senior debt exposure to ABC, which was placed in receivership and administration on Thursday, was around $240 million.
But the bank also holds 4.456 million ABC hybrid notes, with a carrying value of about $220 million, following an $100 million write down of the value of the notes earlier this month.
ANZ bank said on Thursday ABC owed it $182 million, Westpac Banking Corp said it had a credit exposure of about $200 million, and NAB confirmed a $140 million exposure.
Meanwhile, Funtastic said one of its subsidiaries, Judius Pty Ltd, had a contract with ABC's subsidiary, ABC Developmental Learning Centres Pty Ltd, for the supply of child care products to ABC centres in Australia, New Zealand and the United States.
The toy company, whose brands includes The Wiggles and Power Rangers, said the ABC's receivership could have an adverse impact on its earnings.
"The appointments of receivers and voluntary administrators to ABC Learning and certain of its subsidiaries could have an adverse effect on the earnings of Funtastic for the year ending December 31 and potentially future years' earnings," Funtastic said.
"It is also possible that the potential effect could be material."
Funtastic said it was not possible yet to quantify the potential effect, or to assess how material it might be.
Funtastic said its board had decided to conduct a detailed review of its exposure to ABC.
Funtastic expects to enter discussions with ABC's receivers and administrators to continue the contractual arrangements with ABC Development Learning Centres.
The receiver of ABC, Chris Honey of McGrathNicol, has assured parents that all of ABC's 1200 childcare centres in Australia and NZ will remain open.
The federal government says it's in talks with the company's creditors to keep the centres operating.
ABC Learning has 16,000 staff who care for more than 100,000 children across Australia.
Is this leftlunacy govt trying to go the way of USA with all the bailouts of failing businesses. Surely we have other essential services that need taxpayer money to keep them viable especially in the light of terrorism etc. Services such as Police, Fire Brigade and Hospitals.....etc... ABC childacre was a private business, and the owner of this made sure he made his millions of dollars before fleeing overseas. The news services were big on promoting him as an entrapreneur and lauding his centres in the media, with no regard to the struggling child care centres who were losing business and money because of the ABC centres. Why does the govt not prop up these other centres instead of bailing the ABC out of millions if not billions of debt owed to banks...and where are the banks going to get this lost money from?.... the people who invest their money for their futures. Before we know it, our stupid moronic leaders will be bailing out finance institutions just like the fanny and freddie debacle. Where does it all end? Why not put a system in place where business can only expand when it has the proven finances to do so.

islamic finance 101
Thanks to Prophecy Watch for this....
The Rise of Islam.
U.S. Treasury teaches 'Islamic Finance 101'
The Treasury Department has announced it will teach "Islamic finance" to U.S. banking regulatory agencies, Congress and other parts of the executive branch tomorrow in Washington, D.C. – but critics say it is opening a door to American funding of Islamic extremism. According to its announcement, the "Islamic Finance 101" forum is "designed to help inform the policy community about Islamic financial services, which are an increasingly important part of the global financial industry." Islamic finance is a system of banking consistent with the principles of Shariah, or Islamic law. It is becoming increasingly popular, having reached $800 billion by mid-2007 and growing at more than 15 percent each year. Wall Street now features an Islamic mutual fund and an Islamic index. However, critics claim anti-American terrorists are often financially supported through U.S. investments – creating a system by which the nation funds its own enemy. In his essay, "Financial Jihad: What Americans Need to Know," Vice President Christopher Holden of the Center for Security Policy writes, "America is losing the financial war on terror because Wall Street is embracing a subversive enemy ideology on one hand and providing corporate life support to state sponsors of terrorism on the other hand." Holden refers to Islamic finance, or "Shariah-Compliant Finance" as a "modern-day Trojan horse" infiltrating the U.S. He said it poses a threat to the U.S. because it seeks to legitimize Shariah – a man-made medieval doctrine that regulates every aspect of life for Muslims – and could ultimately change American life and laws. Shariah-compliant finance is becoming a major movement, because American banks and investors are seeking wealth from oil profits in the Middle East. Some advocates claim Islamic finance is socially responsible because it bans investors from funding companies that sell or promote products such as alcohol, tobacco, pornography, gambling and even pork. However, Islamic financial institutions also require all industry participants to adhere to tenets of Shariah law. According to Nasser Suleiman's "Corporate Governance in Islamic Banking, "First and foremost, an Islamic organization must serve God. It must develop a distinctive corporate culture, the main purpose of which is to create a collective morality and spirituality which, when combined with the production of goods and services, sustains growth and the advancement of the Islamic way of life." Three nations that rule 100 percent by Shariah law – Iran, Saudi Arabia and Sudan – hold some of the most horrific human rights records in the world, Holden said. "This strongly suggests that Americans should strenuously resist anything associated with Shariah."................ read more....http://www.prophecynewswatch.com

Holden refers to Islamic finance, or "Shariah-Compliant Finance" as a "modern-day Trojan horse" infiltrating the U.S.

The diverse Christian body has, as expected, responded to news of Barack Obama’s victory in the presidential election with mixed reaction – some congratulating, others wanting to put aside differences to work together, and still others insisting on challenging him when he takes office.
National Council of Churches USA, a left-leaning network of 100,000 local congregations, congratulated president-elect Obama and pledged to support him in the tough times ahead as he navigates the country out of the dangerous waters it is currently in.
“Mr. President-Elect, the 45-million Christians represented by the member communions of the National Council of Churches stand ready to work with you to respond to the realities that a loving God places before us each day,” stated Michael Kinnamon, general secretary of NCCUSA, in a statement issued early Wednesday.
In particular, he pointed to social concerns such as poverty, education, and health care.
“All of us are dependent on God's loving mercy, and we will regularly pray for you and others elected to high leadership,” the NCCUSA head wrote. “May your wisdom and discernment serve you well, and may your health never wane.”
But the religious right had a much different tone in response to Obama’s election victory.
Focus on the Family, the most prominent religious right organization, rejoiced that Obama will not have a 60-seat Democratic Senate that would have allowed him to push forth legislation without serious contention.
While the Democratic Party has a solid majority in both the House and Senate, they do not have the 60-seat majority needed that would give Majority Leader Harry Reid the power to invoke “cloture,” a procedure by which the Senate can vote to place a time limit on consideration of a bill or other matter, and end a Republican filibuster.
The Senate results combined with the approval of three state amendments banning gay marriage “give values voters reason to stay tuned to development on Capitol Hill,” FOTF Action wrote in its Election home page.
“God can use any president for his own purposes,” encouraged Focus Action’s Tom Minnery during an election special broadcast.
Meanwhile, Tony Perkins of Family Research Council, another prominent conservative group, encouraged values voters to keep praying for America and not lose heart.
Former FRC staff Dr. Charmaine Yoest, who is now president and CEO of Americans United for Life, congratulated Sen. Obama on his win, but pointed out his contradictory actions on abortion rights.
While Obama has called for “common ground” on abortion rights during his campaign, Yoest said, he promised Planned Parenthood that his first act as president will be to sign the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA), which would eliminate every state and federal law regulating abortion.
"We will continue working in the days ahead to educate Americans about the threat to common sense that FOCA poses,” the AUL president vowed. “And we will make common cause with defenders of life in both the Democrat and Republican parties, fully committed to the ultimate goal of seeing both parties dedicated to the defense of life.”
Exit polls show that 74 percent of white evangelicals or born-again Christians voted for Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain and 24 percent voted for Sen. Barack Obama, according to CNN. Twenty-six percent of American voters described themselves as evangelical or born-again Christians.
Obama won 338 electoral votes, far more than the 270 needed, to win the 2008 presidential election. Sen. John McCain won 163 electoral votes.

Ah, it is not the end of the world. While I really like Sarah Palin. Personally I feel with help of all those phony voters with Acorn and the Liberal media. Barack Obama stole the vote.
I'm sick with fear of what this man can do to us!
Good News is there are 56 million + family members who are true Christians in the US who voted against Barack Obama. That could be 150 Million +. Hey, Praise God. God is soverign. Amen!

The U.S. Should Not Open an Interests Section in Tehran

In its waning days, the Bush administration is setting the stage for establishment of a U.S. Interests Section in Tehran manned by U.S. diplomats. The new administration should let this ill-thought and poorly-timed initiative drop.
Today is the 29th Anniversary of the Iranian seizure of the U.S. embassy in Tehran. Both reformists and hardliners continue to endorse the seizure. Few Americans remember the details of the embassy seizure. On November 1, 1979, Zbigniew Brzezinski, president Jimmy Carter's National Security Advisor, met with Iranian Prime Minister Mehdi Bazargan and Foreign Minister Ebrahim Yazdi in Algiers to discuss, among other issues, the restoration of the U.S.-Iran relationship. The Shah was gone, but the U.S. government wanted to cement its relationship with the new revolutionary regime. Photos of their handshake appeared in Iranian newspapers the next day. Students, with Ayatollah Ruhollah's blessing, stormed the embassy the next day, holding 52 American diplomats for 444 days. What went wrong? In many ways, the U.S. diplomats were pawns in a struggle that had less to do with the United States and far more to do with Iran's domestic politics. The Islamic Revolution was popular: Fully ten percent of the Iranian population took part, not only ayatollahs and seminary students, but also liberals, merchants, students, religious leftists, among others. Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini was a symbol but, for months, it was uncertain he would be able to consolidate the power which history demonstrates he desired. His followers—Students Following the Line of the Imam—used the manufactured embassy crisis to force Bazargan's resignation and consolidate the revolution. Khomeini came out of the embassy seizure much stronger than his regime went into it. The Carter administration may have sought to engage moderates, but they inadvertently bolstered the hardliners.
The same pattern repeated when, in what became the Iran-Contra Affair, U.S. officials sought to engage revolutionary authorities in Tehran. One week after former U.S. national security advisor Robert McFarlane's secret trip to Tehran, Mehdi Hashemi, the son-in-law of Khomeini's deputy Hossein Ali Montazeri, leaked word of secret talks in pamphlets distributed at the University of Tehran. Six months later, Montazeri or his immediate aidesleaked word of McFarlane's meetings in the pro-Syrian Lebanese magazine Ash Shira‘a. Twenty-two years ago today, former president and Expediency Council chairman Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani confirmed the meeting to the international press. Whatever one thinks of Reagan administration actions, the fact remains that Iranian officials betrayed U.S. confidence in secret talks and crippled the remainder of the Reagan presidency. They did so, not out of spite for the United States, but rather for narrow domestic political reasons.
The list continues. After Mohammad Khatami's so-called Dialogue of Civilizations initiative, radical Iranian vigilantes attacked a busload of American businessmen. They did so to embarrass the Iranian government. The same day Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice waved the conditions outlined in her May 31, 2006 speech and sent Undersecretary of State William Burns to Geneva to join nuclear negotiations and offer the Iranian government a generous incentives package, Mohammad Jafar Assadi, commander of the Revolutionary Guards' ground forces, declared that the concession proved that "America has no other choice but to leave the Middle East region beaten and humiliated." The problem is not diplomacy. Rather, it is inattention to timing. Poorly calibrated diplomacy can backfire, spark crisis, and benefit hardliners.
One day, it may be appropriate to send U.S. diplomats to Tehran. That day is not now nor will it come until there is broad consensus across the Iranian political spectrum about the direction in which Iranian leaders should take their country. The new U.S. President must think not only of U.S. desires, but also remain cognizant of the complex political scene in Tehran. While Iranians jockey for position ahead of their June 2009 presidential elections, and while vigilante groups continue to flex their muscles, any attempt to send U.S. diplomats prematurely may spark the crisis and test which Senator Joe Biden warned against.

Christian group saddened by obamanator
With the Christian organisations I frequent and websites that I subscribe to on the net, I have become somewhat disillusioned by the majority of them supporting obama.
However, my heart is lightened by one group that DO NOT support obama....this is an organisation called Christian Shirts. - ChristianShirts.net -
they are offering us readers a 25% discount on purchases.
At ChristianShirts.net, we are greatly saddened by the election of a pro-choice President. In order to keep the Pro-life movement upbeat, we are giving all our subscribers a coupon for 25% off, which is good for one week only. Keep Pro-life hope alive!
Yes, I am Pro-Life but up to a point..... I do not believe in abortion as contraception, nor do I believe that a baby should be born with such disabilities that would render their life in a vegetative state. Not abortion just because your child may have a disability of some kind, like the kind that would still let them live a fruitful life. There are so many parents opting for abortion just because their child will be born with Down Syndrome. Now I know these children can have good lives as I have worked with them and also have a niece and a nephew with disabilities, mind you, my brother and sister in-law adopted both of them as they were tossed on the scrap heap.....tests were not available back then, and I can tell you both these kids grew into lovely adults, one of whom has a family of his own and a very good job.
This is not the only reason this group is against obama by the way, there are a few other reasons. Anyway, have a look at their site and you might even find some good t-shirts to buy for gifts for Christmas.

Rudd's Agenda
In NOVEMBERS issue of THE MONTHLY, A Magazine of Australian Politics, Society and Culture, we have as the feature story the following article.
Go to www.themonthly.com.au for more.
THE MONTHLY ESSAYS.
"Before he became the Labor leader, I held in my mind three wildly contradictory images of Kevin Rudd. In the first - derived from the scurrilous portrait in The Latham Diaries - Rudd was a media-obsessed, vaultingly ambitious, duplicitous opportunist. In the second - based mainly on my observation of his near-successful attempt to prove that the foreign minister, Alexander Downer, was lying when he claimed he knew nothing about the bribes paid by the Australian Wheat Board to Saddam Hussein - Rudd was an outstanding parliamentary performer: focused, diligent, courteous but remorseless, quick-witted and intelligent. In the third - which was based on his Dietrich Bonhoeffer article - Rudd was a true believer in Christian social justice, a politician who identified not with power but with the powerless, who believed that the impending catastrophe of climate change was the overwhelming challenge of our age, who had given his life to politics to try to make the world a better place."
In "What is Rudd's Agenda?", Robert Manne takes a close look at the Rudd government as it approaches its first anniversary. What, he asks, is its relation to the "philosophic and policy disposition of its predecessor"? Has Australia "begun significantly to change" since Labor took office? What did Rudd promise, and what has he failed to deliver?
"Rudd is committed in the international sphere to ... what he invariably calls, in language borrowed from the standard Australian foreign-policy textbooks, 'creative middle-power diplomacy'. Here Rudd is at his most ambitious or, as some might think, grandiose. It was no accident that Rudd was very keen to address the UN General Assembly; that he is keen to make Australia a player in the diplomacy leading up to the Copenhagen conference on climate change; that he has signalled for the first time an Australian interest in the international struggle to combat extreme poverty within a generation; and that he has tried to inject Australia into the current international negotiations over the financial markets' meltdown. Rudd aspires to be the architect of a new Asia-Pacific Community - a somewhat amorphous regional entity comprising all the major Asia-Pacific powers, from the US through China to Russia, where the habits of peaceful co-operation, conversation and good-neighbourliness will somehow be learnt."
I have my copy, as I get it every month, now all I need to do is get around to reading the full article. Maybe it will shed some light on his 'Agenda'. Bearing in mind, that I did not vote for Rudd or his cronies, but I was nevertheless willing to 'give him a fair go' as is the Aussie way, but so far I have been disappointed, as have so many actual labour voters around the Country. It is nearing the end of his 1st year, so we will see how he fares for the next year, which will leave him 2 more years to see what 'The People' really want to do about their voting choices.

"THIS YEAR, the United States and other countries will send OPEC countries more money than the United States taxpayers send our own Department of Defense," says Anne Korin in the video below.
This can change. It costs very little for car manufacturers to tweak their engines so they can burn several different kinds of fuels — in other words, to create a single engine that can burn ethanol and methanol and gasoline, whichever is available or cheapest. Car manufacturers already make some of their cars with this tweak. If car manufacturers were required to do this by the government (just as they are required to build in seat belts), fuel companies would have enough confidence to build fueling stations for alternative fuels, and then what would happen? The different kinds of fuels could compete.
Right now oil is a fuel monopoly. It is the only fuel most cars use. This monopoly is controlled by OPEC. They don't produce all the oil on the market, but they produce such a large amount that they can change the global price of oil when they wish. This means the global price of oil is controlled by Jihadis, and they are using their oil monopoly to do two things at once: To fund a global jihad, and to weaken the free world.
You can do something right now to push the U.S. to adopt an open fuel standard: Go to Nozzle Rage and click on the red button in the upper right hand corner to put the pressure on your representatives to get this law passed. Then encourage everyone you know to do so, and encourage them to encourage everyone they know. Let's get this done, pronto!
The idea of "drill here, drill now" will help remove money from OPEC and put it into the U.S. market, which is a good thing, but it still leaves OPEC controlling oil prices, which means Jihadis are controlling the price of transportation, which means Jihadis are controlling the global economy. "Drill here, drill now" is a good thing to do, but it is not the whole solution. Whenever more oil is added to the global market, OPEC reduces its output accordingly. Their control of their output controls the price. It is oil jihad. We need to defeat it with freedom. In this case, a free market competition between transportation fuels.
In the U.S., we only use 2% of our oil creating electricity. Building more nuclear power plants or wind turbines won't help much with the transportation issue until more cars and trucks are electric. But making more fuel options possible (by mandating the open fuel standard) will strongly impact the transportation issue quickly, giving us freedom from the monopoly, and freedom from control by OPEC, while cutting off a significant flow of money to people committed to sabotaging Western democracies.
Watch Anne Korin speak about the problem and the solution in the video below. Korin is the director of policy and strategic planning at Institute for the Analysis of Global Security and the editor of Energy Security: Click here to see the video.
That is the first video of several. You can watch the rest here: Anne Korin's solution to OPEC's monopoly and oil jihad.
The simplest, cheapest, quickest way to eliminate OPEC's control on the world economy is making it a law that cars must be made with an open fuel standard. Do you want to cut off money going to Jihadis bent on the West's destruction? Write to your representatives now, and please urge everyone you know to do so too at: Nozzle Rage.

The messianic fervor which has preceded Barack Obama's expected ascension to the White House has alarming implications for freedom and is a painful reminder that most Americans have once again been suckered into believing that the two-party monopoly offers any kind of solution to the crisis that we face.

President Barrack Hussein Obama
I AM FEELING SICK OVER THIS BUT I FEEL IT HAD TO HAPPEN.
HAPPEN BECAUSE THE PROPHECIES ARE COMING TO THE FOREFRONT MORE EACH DAY AND IT WAS FORETOLD. ALL I CAN SAY FOR NOW IS ‘GOD HELP US ALL.’ Now I can direct my prayers to the safety and swift action to guard against the oncoming troubles that we are all sure to face.
I have been following this prayer team for quite some time now, and I will be opting out of the service as it has been done, so no need to follow it any longer. CN.
The Presidential Prayer Team congratulates Barack Obama.
Pray for President-Elect Barack Obama and the new administration.
Info@PresidentialPrayerTeam.org
PrayerTeam@PresidentialPrayerTeam.net
The Presidential Prayer Team is pleased to commit itself and it’s nearly 500,000 members to pray for the newly elected President of the United States of America, Barack Obama.
(OH, I CERTAINLY WILL BE PRAYING…. NOT FOR OBAMA, BUT, FOR ALL THE PEOPLE WHO ARE ABOUT TO HAVE A RADICAL CHANGE OF LIFE AS THE ISLAMISTS GAIN EVEN MORE CONCESSIONS TO THE DETRIMENT OF THE NON-MUSLIMS. I WILL BE PRAYING FOR ALL MY AMERICAN FRIENDS.) CN.
Calling in his acceptance speech for a new spirit of patriotism, service and sacrifice from the American people, President-Elect Obama swept to victory over Republican John McCain as the first African-American to hold the nation’s highest political office.
(What kind of patriotism? Service? And oh yeah, sacrifice will be for sure, only it will be the non-muslims who will be making all the sacrifices…of this I have no doubt.)CN.
“We are and always will be the United States of America,” President-Elect Obama said from Grant Park in Chicago, IL. “A government of the people, by the people, and for the people has not perished from the face of the earth. This victory is for you.”
(I WONDER FOR HOW LONG?) CN.
While saying a new dawn of American leadership is at hand, President-Elect Obama recognized that the road ahead may be tough and the climb steep in meeting the many challenges facing the nation, but that “we as a people will get there,” a sentiment followed by chants of “Yes We Can” from the huge Chicago crowd. He also called Republican presidential candidate John McCain a “brave and selfless leader” and said he looks forward to working with him and Governor Sarah Palin in the months to come.
Our faithful prayers for President-Elect Obama and Vice President-Elect Joe Biden are desperately needed. Their new administration faces the challenges of a struggling economy, active wars against terrorism in Iraq and Afghanistan, and energy and environmental concerns - all perhaps unprecedented in a generation. With I Timothy 2:1-2 as our biblical mandate, The Presidential Prayer Team is dedicated to praying for our new president’s wisdom, protection and success as he faces these issues, and many more, over the next four years.
IT IS APPROX 77 DAYS UNTIL INAUGURATION FOR OBAMA AS THE NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. CN.
This is an incredible time in the history of our nation. Join all of us at The Presidential Prayer Team in congratulating Barack Obama and Joe Biden and in committing to pray for their administration and all of our leaders, our nation and our Armed Forces.
PRESIDENTIAL QUOTE:
Whereas, it is the duty of nations, as well as of men, to owe their dependence upon the overruling power of God, to confess their sins and transgressions, in humble sorrow, yet with assured hope that genuine repentance will lead to mercy and pardon, and to recognize the sublime truth announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations only are blessed whose God is the Lord.
—Abraham Lincoln, declaring a National Day of Humiliation, Fasting and Prayer, April 30, 1863
Poor old Abe must be doing a spin and roll in his grave, and I bet his bones are rattlin' over this. Yes, History will prove Obama for sure. When is he gonna 'fess up to his sins (lies and deceit)?

Obsession
Citizen Warrior feels that information on islam is not reaching the public fast enough...I agree with him. One of my IMMEDIATE FEARS is that Obama is going to win this election in the USA....why am I, am Aussie, worried about what happens over there???? Because what happens over there inevitably affects us all no matter where in the world we are. It is just one more step to the islamization of America...after all, just look what's happening in Londistan with brown nose sucking up to the saudi pigs, for more $swill. And even more worrying, is the fact that Australia is still locked into the British Royals,we are still part of the Commonwealth.

THE BLOGGER, PinkNeck, wrote an article about the movie, Obsession: Radical Islam's War Against the West. It is a great summary of why we are working so hard to stop Islam's relentless encroachment. One of the points she made is:
I know when you watch Obsession you will wonder if this is an exaggeration. It is not: It is only the tip of the iceberg. In fact, in the year since this DVD was released in September of 2007, Islam has attacked Infidels 2,317 times! Since 9/11 they have attacked non-believers 12,091 times. Across the world they have killed thousands upon thousands of people. (Figures listed are from thereligionofpeace.com which keeps extremely accurate records of all the attacks since 9/11.)
So why haven’t you heard more about this? For one thing, the liberal media and our politically correct societies feel all religions have a right to worship any way they want. But Islam is not a religion like any other on the planet. It is more accurately a government out to destroy all other forms of government. And it is far worse than any communism or dictatorship.
While we are helping our kids with their schoolwork, while we are watching our favorite television show, and while we are putting in the extra hours at work to get that promotion — while all of this is going on, Islam is marching forward, worming its way through the cracks, gaining concessions, and out-and-out killing innocent people all over the world.
PinkNeck published this article just a little while ago, and already the total number of attacks is significantly larger. And some of these attacks kill or maim a lot of people in a single bomb-blast, causing unspeakable suffering to the families of the victims. Many times a day these bombings and shootings are occurring around the world. On The Religion of Peace site PinkNeck mentions, scroll down a little and you can see what Jihadis have done in the last couple of days. I just looked at it, and it describes six attacks in the last two days. The top item is from yesterday: "Assam, India — Harkat-ul-Jehadi-e-Islami terrorists massacre over seventy people in six deadly blasts across several towns."
They must be stopped.
The first step is for enough people to be aware it is happening and to understand why it's happening. You are the key. Be as gentle as you can, but help people understand what's going on. This information is not getting out fast enough. Getting this information out there — making people understand this and getting through their resistance to the information — this is not a prelude to the battle; this IS the battle!
If you need to learn more about Islam, read PinkNeck's entire article: Obsession the Movie. It's a great overview of the problem and the solution.

Soccer balls for five cents an hour
Where is the UN and all the others who are against exploitation of children?
this is truly pathetic considering how the game of soccer is growing to be a huge money maker. It is so much more popular here in OZ than it used to be, especially so in Vic.
Stolen Childhood How Your Kids Soccer Ball Is Made

The next time you are watching your kids play soccer, I would like you to think about some other kids, halfway around the world, and their soccer balls. Because unlike your children, for whom the ball is a symbol of childhood, for children in India the ball is often a symbol of stolen childhood.
Gurmeet Kumar is a 10-year-old boy living in one of India’s poorest areas. Earlier this year his baby brother got sick and needed medicine—medicine his poor mother couldn’t afford. So she borrowed the equivalent of less than $100 from a local soccer ball maker, using Gurmeet’s freedom as a kind of collateral.
Gurmeet, whose story was told on HBO’s Real Sports, works 10 to 15 hours a day stitching together soccer balls to pay off the debt, which he probably never will. The soccer ball makers charge “exorbitant” interest rates that double the size of the debt every few months. Barring the unforeseen, Gurmeet’s children and perhaps even their children will have to work off that debt.
By the way, Gurmeet’s baby brother died.
What some people call “debt bondage”—and what decent people call “slavery”—is an important part of how many of the world’s soccer balls are made. Many of the rest are made using child labor. Indian children, instead of going to school and playing, are paid five cents an hour to sow together the balls’ panels, including the one that tells buyers that the ball is “child labor free.”
The panel is there because this isn’t the first time that soccer balls were found to be made using child labor. In the 1990s, the child laborers were Pakistanis. The controversy caused sporting goods companies to adopt a code that banned the use of child labor and certified the moral bona fides of their products.
Oops! Industry representatives told HBO’s Bernard Goldberg that they didn’t know what was happening in India. (Yeah I just bet they didn't)
Goldberg took their word for it, but pointed out that he and his crew, working without any help from Indian authorities, had no trouble finding many instances of child labor and “debt bondage.” It makes you wonder just how hard the companies really were looking. (Blindness is caused by too many $ signs)
Soccer balls are only one of many consumer goods being made by child labor. (I would like a list of these products and the companies involved)
As the business magazine Forbes put it, “That garden stone, handmade carpet or embroidered T-shirt you just bought was probably made by child labor.”
Nonetheless, the only way sporting goods companies will live up to their promise is if we hit them where it hurts: their bottom line. Every soccer mom and dad should refuse to buy balls made by companies with a “don’t ask, don’t tell” attitude toward child labor and “debt bondage.”
(I will certainly be extra careful next time I buy a soccer ball for one of my grandchildren or friends' children)
So please visit BreakPoint.org for more information on soccer balls and child labor. (I most certainly will be)
In the meantime, we Christians should be setting the example—indeed, lead the way. The abolition of slavery and laws against child labor were largely the product of Christian efforts, and we should sustain those efforts.
William Wilberforce asked his fellow Britons to think of the slave as a “man and brother”—so I’m asking you to imagine your children robbed of their childhood, making balls they can only dream of playing with.
this is truly pathetic considering how the game of soccer is growing to be a huge money maker. It is so much more popular here in OZ than it used to be, especially so in Vic.

Intentions of islam
THANKS to Gathering Storm for this excellent article. If I never knew one single thing about islamist actions, then after reading this I would certainly have a good grasp of the intentions of islamists and how they are going about it. I urge you to have a look at the 'Weekly Think Piece' and sign up for regular newsletters.

Connecting the Dots
The politicians, main stream media, liberal pundits, and academicia still don't get it. They can't seem to connect the dots. The gods of political correctness and the religion of multiculturalism have blinded them to the Islamist battle tactics being used today on the free world. They try all they can to interpret the Muslim world's displeasure with the free democracies as something we did. Rioting, demanding and whining are caused by us and not signs of a well thought-out softening-up process carefully planned and executed.
• Rioting over a few benign cartoons is the tactic of intimidation.
• Demanding the right under multiculturalism not to assimilate is the tactic of infiltration.
• Whining about being persecuted is the tactic of disinformation.
• Apologist defense of the 'religion of peace' and 'tolerance' while at the same time condemning western civilization are the acts of appeasement.
Every belligerent through out history depends on the elements of waging war - and the war of Islamo-fascism against the free world is no exception.
A belligerent must have at its disposal:
• Financial resources
• Weapons or Raw Material to Manufacturer Them
• Propaganda Machine
• Recruiting Apparatus
• Command and Control
• Safe Havens to Plan
The global Islamist strategy fills all six of these requirements.
They have the financial resources and support of the oil rich rogue states like Iran and the individual support of sheiks and rich Arab businessmen in the Middle East.
With these resources they can give their jihadist agents an endless supply of weapons and war materials for them to execute their insurgency of the West.
The Islamist propaganda machine uses the latest information technology and their mosques to get the word out and generate support and encouragement for their cause.
And their mosques strategically placed within the free nations of the world serve another purpose - recruiting of believers, and command and control of their troops.
Finally, safe haven for planning and communication are provided by countries like Syria, Iran, and Pakistan where the free world military can not reach.
Connecting all the dots and we see that the Islamist have a well co-coordinated, effective order of battle our politicians, main stream media and even our military to a large extent have little understanding of.
We better wake up and smell the Islamic battle plan or our attempts at appeasement will play right into the hands of the Islamist strategy for world domination.

What causes muslim terrorism?
A couple more entries from strangecosmos.com
The old saying....give them an inch and they'll take a mile applies here. I also believe that we in Australia could easily apply the following to fit the Aussie mould. I get chills when I think of Mr KRudd wanting a seat on the UN.
EUROPE - THY NAME IS COWARDICE.
For those who are concerned about how Bush has alienated the European allies of the US, as well as the UN membership, they should read the following editorial in the Welt, a German daily:
EUROPE - THY NAME IS COWARDICE
Matthias DÃpfner, Chief Executive of German publisher Axel Springer AG, has written a blistering attack in the daily WELT against the cowardice of Europe in the face of the Islamic threat. Hartmut Lau translated the article.
(Commentary by Mathias DÃpfner)
A few days ago Henryk M. Broder wrote in Welt am Sonntag, "Europe - your family name is appeasement." It's a phrase you can't get out of your head because it's so terribly true. Appeasement cost millions of Jews and non-Jews their lives as England and France, allies at the time, negotiated and hesitated too long before they noticed that Hitler had to be fought, not bound to agreements. Appeasement stabilized communism in the Soviet Union and East Germany in that part of Europe where inhuman, suppressive governments were glorified as the ideologically correct alternative to all other possibilities. Appeasement crippled Europe when genocide ran rampant in Kosovo and we Europeans debated and debated until the Americans came in and did our work for us.
Rather than protecting democracy in the Middle East, European appeasement, camouflaged behind the fuzzy word "equidistance," now countenances suicide bombings in Israel by fundamentalist Palestinians. Appeasement generates a mentality that allows Europe to ignore 300,000 victims of Saddam's torture and murder machinery and, motivated by the self-righteousness of the peace-movement, to issue bad grades to George Bush A particularly grotesque form of appeasement is reacting to the escalating violence by Islamic fundamentalists in Holland and elsewhere by suggesting that we should really have a Muslim holiday in Germany.
What else has to happen before the European public and its political leadership get it? There is a sort of crusade underway, an especially perfidious crusade consisting of systematic attacks by fanatic Muslims, focused on civilians and directed against our free, open Western societies.
It is a conflict that will most likely last longer than the great military conflicts of the last century-a conflict conducted by an enemy that cannot be tamed by tolerance and accommodation but only spurred on by such gestures, which will be mistaken for signs of weakness.
Two recent American presidents had the courage needed for anti-appeasement: Reagan and Bush. Reagan ended the Cold War and Bush, supported only by the social democrat Blair acting on moral conviction, recognized the danger in the Islamic fight against democracy His place in history will have to be evaluated after a number of years have passed.
In the meantime, Europe sits back with charismatic self-confidence in the multicultural corner instead of defending liberal society's values and being an attractive center of power on the same playing field as the true great powers, America and China. On the contrary-we Europeans present ourselves, in contrast to the intolerant, as world champions in tolerance, which even (Germany's Interior Minister) Otto Schily justifiably criticizes. Why? Because we're so moral? I fear it's more because we're so materialistic.
For his policies, Bush risks the fall of the dollar, huge amounts of additional national debt and a massive and persistent burden on the American economy-because everything is at stake. While the alleged capitalistic robber barons in America know their priorities, we timidly defend our social welfare systems. Stay out of it! It could get expensive. We'd rather discuss the 35-hour workweek or our dental health plan coverage. Or listen to Bleeding Hearts preach about "reaching out to murderers."
These days, Europe reminds me of an elderly aunt who hides her last pieces of jewelry with shaking hands when she notices a robber has broken into a neighbor's house.
Europe, thy name is cowardice.

United States vs. Reid.
This has just got to be the best Statement from a Judge I have read in a long time. Even though it was in 2003, this is the first time I have ever read it.
Thanks to Strangecomos.com
- MUST READ - Judge Sentences Shoe Bomber
Ruling by Judge William Young
US District Court Judge William Young made the following statement in sentencing "shoe bomber" Richard Reid to prison.
It is noteworthy, and deserves to be remembered far longer than he predicts. I commend it to you and to anyone you might wish to forward it to.
January 30, 2003
United States vs. Reid.
Judge Young: Mr. Richard C. Reid, hearken now to the sentence the Court imposes upon you.
On counts 1, 5 and 6 the Court sentences you to life in prison in the custody of the United States Attorney General.
On counts 2, 3, 4 and 7, the Court sentences you to 20 years in prison on each count, the sentence on each count to run consecutive with the other. That's 80 years.
On count 8 the Court sentences you to the mandatory 30 years consecutive to the 80 years just imposed. The Court imposes upon you each of the eight counts a fine of $250,000 for the aggregate fine of $2 million.
The Court accepts the government's recommendation with respect to restitution and orders restitution in the amount of $298.17 to Andre Bousquet and $5,784 to American Airlines.
The Court imposes upon you the $800 special assessment.
The Court imposes upon you five years supervised release simply because the law requires it. But the life sentences are real life sentences so I need go no further.
This is the sentence that is provided for by our statues. It is a fair and just sentence. It is a righteous sentence. Let me explain this to you.
We are not afraid of any of your terrorist co-conspirators, Mr. Reid. We are Americans. We have been through the fire before. There is all too much war talk here. And I say that to everyone with the utmost respect.
Here in this court, where we deal with individuals as individuals, and care for individuals as individuals, as human beings we reach out for justice, you are not an enemy combatant. You are a terrorist. You are not a soldier in any war. You are a terrorist. To give you that reference, to call you a soldier gives you far too much stature. Whether it is the officers of government who do it or your attorney who does it, or that happens to be your view, you are a terrorist.
And we do not negotiate with terrorists. We do not treat with terrorists. We do not sign documents with terrorists. We hunt them down one by one and bring them to justice.
So war talk is way out of line in this court. You are a big fellow. But you are not that big. You're no warrior. I know warriors. You are a terrorist. A species of criminals guilty of multiple attempted murders.
In a very real sense Trooper Santigo had it right when you first were taken off that plane and into custody and you wondered where the press and where the TV crews were and he said. "You're no big deal." You are no big deal.
What your counsel, what your able counsel and what the equally able United States attorneys have grappled with and what I have as honestly as I know how tried to grapple with, is why you did something so horrific. What was it that led you here to this courtroom today? I have listened respectfully to what you have to say. And I ask you to search your heart and ask yourself what sort of unfathomable hate led you to do what you are guilty and admit you are guilty of doing. And I have an answer for you. It may not satisfy you. But as I search this entire record it comes as close to understanding as I know.
It seems to me you hate the one thing that is most precious. You hate our freedom. Our individual freedom. Our individual freedom to live as we choose, to come and go as we choose, to believe or not believe as we individually choose.
Here, in this society, the very winds carry freedom. They carry it everywhere from sea to shining sea. It is because we prize individual freedom so much that you are here in this beautiful courtroom. So that everyone can see, truly see that justice is administered fairly, individually, and discretely.
It is for freedom's sake that your lawyers are striving so vigorously on your behalf and have filed appeals, will go on in their, their representation of you before other judges. We are about it. Because we all know that the way we treat you, Mr. Reid, is the measure of our own liberties. Make no mistake though. It is yet true that we will bear any burden, pay any price, to preserve our freedoms.
Look around this courtroom. Mark it well. The world is not going to long remember what you or I say here. Day after tomorrow it will be forgotten. But this, however, will long endure. Here in this courtroom and courtrooms all across America, the American people will gather to see that justice, individual justice, justice, not war, individual justice is in fact being done.
The very President of the United States through his officers will have to come into courtrooms and lay out evidence on which specific matters can be judged, and juries of citizens will gather to sit and judge that evidence democratically, to mold and shape and refine our sense of justice.
See that flag, Mr. Reid? That's the flag of the United States of America. That flag will fly there long after this is all forgotten. That flag stands for freedom. You know it always will.
Mr. Custody Officer, stand him down.
How much of this Judge's comments did you hear on our TV sets?
Please pass this around.
Everyone needs to hear what the judge had to say.

The Least You Need To Know About Islam
Posted: 26 Oct 2008 12:55 PM CDT
IF YOU HAD the opportunity to educate every kafir (non-Muslim) on earth about Islam but with one restriction — you could only tell them three facts — which three would you choose?
Non-Muslims don't need to know everything. Do they need to know Mohammad married a six year-old? Will that help them? Does it really matter to a non-Muslim who has no desire to become a follower? Probably not. But it is very important for a non-Muslim to know about the principle of taqiyya.
Another good choice would be to tell the kafirs what a Muslim means when he says, "Islam is a religion of peace."
There are many possible good choices, but the point is, for national policies about Islam to be changed, the politicians involved will need the support of a large number of their voters. And for that to happen, a lot more kafirs need to know some basic information about Islam.
But as you know, it's a big subject. There's a lot to learn, and most people have other interests and are not going to devote much time to it. So the question I think we should be asking ourselves is: "What is the least a kafir needs to know?"
What three ideas or facts would you choose if you could only choose three?
If you had your points down to three and you were clear what they were, it would be easier to work those points into conversations. And you could become very good at delivering those three points. You would be more effective in those conversations — more persuasive, more convincing, less likely to provoke a negative reaction.
Not only that, but if you give enough information to get someone interested, their own desire to learn will spur them on. You don't have to tell them everything. In fact, if you try, they will probably resist the information. You just need to say enough to arouse their interest, and say it well enough to be convincing.
This is important. Where the rubber meets the road in this work is our one-on-one conversations with people who don't yet understand the danger we're in. In those conversations, we can gain new allies, or we can push people further away from the cause, depending on how well we do it. Having three clear points we want to deliver — points we have decided ahead of time and have given some thought to — will improve how well we do it.
If I could only choose three points to make, I'd make these:
1. Islam has not been hijacked. That Islam has been hijacked is what non-Muslims naturally assume because they assume all religions are the same. So they further assume that some crazies must have hijacked the religion because surely no religion would actually encourage the killing of innocents. We want to believe the religion has been hijacked. Once people realize it isn't true, we can start talking about real solutions.
2. Muslims are allowed to deceive non-Muslims if it helps Islam. The principle of taqiyya is surprising to non-Muslims. Knowing about the principle helps immunize non-Muslims from the deception. They can at least not take everything a Muslim leader says at face value. You can see (and share) some excellent examples of taqiyya in the movie, Obsession.
3. Striving to institute worldwide Shari'a law is a religious duty. Many people don't realize how politically-oriented Islam is at its core. Shari'a is the law of Allah. Any other form of government is a sin. It is their duty as a Muslim to keep striving until all governments have been converted to Shari'a law. I think when kafirs understand this, they will immediately grasp the basic principle that all governments must immediately stop all concessions to Islam.
Those are the three I would choose. Which three would you choose?

Terror Free Oil
As soon as I know for sure where I can buy my petrol that is "Terror Free" that will be the only place I will be making a purchase. I urge every Aussie to start doing the same. I look forward to the emails so I can learn more about this.
Welcome to the Daily Reckoning Australia... your free report will arrive in your email inbox within 15 minutes.
But before you go, I'd like to tell you a little bit about the Daily Reckoning.
Your daily edition is written specifically for investors who value independent analysis, clearly expressed ideas, and good writing. In a market with so few media voices, we don't pretend to report the news or be objective. You can find out what happened in any newspaper and on virtually any website. News has no value these days. But genuine insight does.
Our mission is to tell you the news with all the scepticism, humour, and insight our combined experience in the market allows. We try and tell you which stories are worth paying attention to, and what tomorrow's headlines might be. After all, investing is not about what happened yesterday, but how you can plan for tomorrow successfully, growing your capital along the way.
Our daily focus is on Australia (I liked the investment prospects so much in Australia I moved here myself after spending two years in London and Paris!) but because the Daily Reckoning is global in scope - with satellite offices in Baltimore, London, Paris, and New York - you'll also have a valuable perspective on North American and European markets. Let me tell you what you can expect from here on out.
What to Expect From The Daily Reckoning
Starting in the next two days, you'll get the Daily Reckoning each day (Monday - Friday) around noon Eastern Time, written by our team in Melbourne Australia and our founder Bill Bonner, wherever he happens to be. Bill has over 30 years experience investing in and writing about markets. He's also the author of two New York Times best-sellers (Empire of Debt, and Financial Reckoning Day). His third book, Mobs, Messiahs & Markets: Surviving the Public Spectacle in Finance and Politics was recently released and is climbing the best seller charts.
From time to time, we will send you special investment alerts about subjects that may be of particular interest to you. With over 1 million global readers, we realise that not every investment alert will be of interest, or even appropriate for each of our readers. But our goal is to give you as many of our new and best ideas as we can, and let you decide which ones fit best with your own financial plan.
You may have questions about how your email address will be used. As a regular e-mail user myself, I appreciate those questions. Let me assure you we won't rent or sell your e-mail address to anyone... we mean it!
The Daily Reckoning doesn't cost you a single cent... it NEVER will, as we're entirely supported by the three small ads you will see in each issue. Each advertiser is thoroughly vetted before we run their ad. We accept ads based on one simple rule: if it's good enough for our mums, it's good enough for our readers.
If you like what you've read and find it valuable, we invite you to share it with your friends and family. You can do so by forwarding a particular day's issue, or simply directing your friends to our site at http://www.dailyreckoning.com.au to sign up themselves.
Share your thoughts and ideas; socialize with other Daily Reckoning Readers at our forum accessible via: http://www.dailyreckoning.com.au/talk

Terror Free Oil
Posted: 24 Oct 2008 05:07 PM CDT
WE ARE essentially funding our enemies. We buy oil from Saudi Arabia, for example, and they use that money to build mosques in our countries — mosques which promote the following ideas to their Muslim attendees: keep yourselves separate from non-Muslims and do not assimilate into the culture; gain political power; agitate for concessions; and work toward the long-range goal of replacing the democratic government with a government ruled by Shari'a law.
We are funding this. If we didn't buy their oil, we'd put a huge damper on their activities. And they wouldn't have so much money to afford building madrassas all over the world teaching hatred for the West.
The Terror-Free Oil Initiative came up with a solution: They research where gas stations get their oil so we can choose to buy our gas from stations that do not send our money to Jihadis bent on our destruction. They've even opened their own gas station. Here's a five-minute clip from MSNBC about the new gas station (click here to watch the video):
Terror-Free Oil Refuses Financial Help from Corporation Connected to Radical Saudi Financier | Movies & TV | SPIKE.com
This is one of the most positive, practical actions I have yet to see. Please look up your local gas stations, find out where you can buy terror-free gas, and tell all your friends. Sooner is better than later.
I looked up every one of the gas suppliers on the list and none of them sell gas in my area. So I wrote to The Terror-Free Oil Initiative, and Alex Porter wrote back to me, giving me a link to a list of oil companies showing the percentage of their oil they get from the Persian Gulf.
In my area there are mostly Shell and Chevron stations. I've used Chevron for many years, but looking at this list, I discovered they are one of the highest in the percentage of their oil they get from the Middle East, so I switched to Shell, which has one of the lowest percentages.
Another thing you can do to help cut off money to Jihadis is drive slower. During the oil crisis in the 1970's, the speed limit was dropped to 55. A lot of people complained about it, but it did save a lot of gas. And it still does. So even while you're driving, you reduce our reliance on oil if you drive 55.
It feels good to be doing something. Each mile you drive 55, you are taking money out of the pockets of people trying to destroy us. And you can educate yourself while you're at it by listening to good audiobooks. And if you keep your car tuned, it will use less gas too. Of course, you can also ride your bike and walk when you have the opportunity.
You can also urge your representatives to support the "open fuel standard," which means mandating car manufacturers to make cars that can run on many different fuels — cars that can run on ethanol and methanol and gasoline, for example — rather than only gasoline. Check out NozzleRage.com to find out how. They make it easy to write to your representatives.
You can do something very simple right now: Forward this article to ten people. The more people who use terror-free gas, the more financial incentive gas companies will have to make it more available.
To thwart Islam's relentless encroachment, we have many practical actions we can take. The way we use gasoline is one of the most important.

Ecumenical consultation demarcates common ground for dialogue with Islam
25 Oct 2008 - Source: World Council of Churches
(From the ACC Newsletter.)
NOTE:..passages with ALL CAPS are mine.
Christian communities should improve their knowledge of Islam, be good neighbours to Muslims and bear witness to their faith in an appropriate manner, according to an international group of church leaders and experts on Christian-Muslim dialogue.
“WHEN MUSLIMS WANT TO BE GOOD NEIGHBOURS TO EVERYBODY REGARDLESS OF DENOMINATION THEN I MIGHT HALFWAY BELIEVE THAT THEY ARE NEAR TO BEING GENUINE.”
These were some of the recommendations put forward at an 18 to 20 October consultation aimed at developing an ecumenical Christian theological understanding of dialogue with Islam. Convened by the World Council of Churches (WCC), it gathered some fifty church leaders and experts on Christian-Muslim dialogue in Chavannes-de-Bogis, outside Geneva, Switzerland.
Participants acknowledged a history of "mixed" relationships between Christians and Muslims, with both positive and negative dimensions. On their part, Christians have seen Muslims as both friend and rival, neighbour and stranger.
I WILL NEVER SEE THEM AS ‘FRIEND OR NEIGHBOUR, BUT RATHER ALWAYS AS STRANGER’.
However, participants agreed, Christianity teaches to love the neighbour regardless of race, gender or religion. Even more, Christian self-understanding is challenged and deepened through relationships with Muslims, while Christians themselves are renewed by entering into dialogue with them.
AS A CHRISTIAN, I WILL TREAT OTHERS AS HUMANS PROVIDING THEY TREAT OTHERS IN THE SAME MANNER. AS FOR DIALOGUE WITH MUSLIMS, not ANYTHING THEY SAY CAN BE TAKEN AS TRUTH BECAUSE THE KORAN TELLS THEM THEY ARE NOT PERMITTED TO HAVE INFIDELS AS FRIENDS, ONLY TO PRETEND UNTIL THE TIME COMES TO STRIKE IF THEY HAVE FAILED AT CONVERTING THEM.
For this dialogue to be fruitful, it needs to be sensitive, including a careful use of traditional Christian language like mission, witness and conversion. And both church leaders and communities need to be educated in the knowledge of Islam as Muslims live and present it.
WHY DOES THE ‘WCC’ WANT TO … “MISSION, WITNESS AND CONVERT” THE MUSLIM? ARENT THEY SUPPOSED TO BE TEACHING EVERYONE HOW TO LIVE TOGETHER PEACEFULLY? IF THE WCC WANT THE MUSLIM TO CONVERT TO CHRISTIANITY, THEN WHY DON’T THEY THEMSELVES CONVERT TO BEING A MUSLIM IN THE LANDS OF ISLAM?
TO EACH THEIR OWN AND LIVE SIDE BY SIDE IN PEACEFUL SURROUNDINGS AND CONDITIONS….IS WHAT SHOULD BE IN DISCUSSION AND ALL EFFORTS TO GET EVERYONE TO THIS POINT.
While attitudes among Christians towards Islam are diverse and rich, different contexts and experiences of living together with Muslims inspire different theological approaches.
THE ONLY APPROACH SHOULD BE NOT EXPECTING ANYONE FROM THE KORAN TO LIVE IN THE LANDS OF WESTERN SOCIETIES.
The consultation identified a number of issues to be addressed in further dialogue with Muslims, among others: human rights, conversion, concepts of secularism, pluralism, and citizenship, as well as the use of religious symbols for political ideologies and religiously motivated violence.
FURTHER DIALOGUE? …I THINK THIS IS JUST BEATING A DEAD HORSE SO TO SPEAK. TOTALLY FUTILE AS A DEAD HORSE CANNOT AND WILL NOT GO ANYWHERE.
COLLABORATION IS ANOTHER WORD FOR AN ALLIANCE, AND WE ALL KNOW THAT PEOPLE IN ALLIANCE WITH EACH OTHER WILL LAST AS ONLY AS LONG AS THEY CAN BE USEFUL TO EACH OTHER FOR THE SAKE OF SURVIVAL, THEN ONE WILL TURN ON THE OTHER AND WILL SUBJUGATE THE WEAKER PARTY.
AS ON “STAR TREK VOYAGER”,…THE CREW OF CAPTAIN JANEWAY ENTERED INTO AN ALLIANCE WITH THE BORG. THE BORG NEEDED NEW TECHNOLOGY AND VOYAGER CREW NEEDED TO GET THROUGH BORG SPACE WHILE THEY WERE BOTH IN CONFLICT WITH A MORE ADVANCED ALIEN LIFE-FORM. AS SOON AS THE BORG THOUGHT THEY HAD THE TECHNOLOGY SAFELY IN THEIR HANDS THEY THEN TURNED ON THE VOYAGER CREW AND TOLD THEM THEY WERE TO BE ASSIMILATED AND UNDER THE CONTROL OF THE BORG. HOWEVER, VOYAGER CREW HAD TO PUT CERTAIN PLANS INTO ACTION AND ENDED UP BLOWING THE BORG OUT OF THE CARGO HOLD. ONE BORG SURVIVED THIS AND WAS STUNNED BY A LASER GUN. SHE WAS HALF-BORG AS SHE WAS TAKEN AS A CHILD AND ASSIMILATED INTO THE BORG. IT DOES ENSUE THAT ‘THE DOCTOR’ DOES HIS THING AND GRADUALLY RESTORES HER TO A MORE HUMAN PERSONALITY; THIS IS 7-OF-9. SHE EVENTUALLY BECOMES A MUCH VALUED MEMBER OF THE CREW, AND EVENTUALLY IS RESTORED TO FULL HUMAN.
EVERY TIME THE VOYAGER HAS AN ENCOUNTER WITH THE BORG, THEY COME UP AGAINST DECEIT, TRICKS AND LIES. VOYAGER CREW MUST FIGHT FOR THEIR VERY LIVES AND SURVIVAL.
THIS IS WHAT WE ‘HUMANS’ MUST DO AGAINST THE ISLAMISTS. FIGHT FOR OUR SURVIVAL BY ANY MEANS UNTIL WE DRIVE THEM FROM OUR… ‘SPACE’…OUR LAND, OUR SOCIETIES, And OUR FUTURE.
Participants also recommending further Christian-Muslim collaboration on issues such as social and economic justice, climate change, peace and healing of memories.
AS FAR AS FURTHER COLLABORATION ON ISSUES SUCH AS ABOVE ARE CONCERNED… OUR SOCIAL JUSTICE IS TOO FAR REMOVED FROM THE MUSLIMS VIEW OF SOCIAL JUSTCICE. THE ECONOMIC JUSTICE IS THE CONCERN OF EACH INDIVIDUAL AND THE NEED TO LEARN TO LIVE WITH-IN THEIR MEANS, UNFORTUNETELY GREED WILL BE IN MANY PEOPLE AS LONG AS MONEY AND POWER IS IN PLAY. BUT THAT IS OUR WAY, WE HAVE TRIED COMMUNIST, SOCIALIST WAYS, AND THEY DO NOT WORK AS HISTORY HAS PROVEN. DEMOCRACY, AND TRUE DEMOCRACY IS THE ONLY WAY FORWARD FOR THE HUMAN RACE. LET THE ISLAMISTS LIVE UNDER COMMUNISM OR SOCIALISM, CALL IT WHAT YOU WILL, WE ONLY NEED TO LOOK AS REGIMES THAT CONTROL THE PEOPLE BY THIS METHOD, THERE IS NO PEACE NOR IS THERE HAPPINESS OR FREEDOM.
THEN WE HAVE PEACE AND HEALING OF MEMORIES… THERE CAN BE NO HEALING OF MEMORIES UNTIL PEACE, AND EQUALLY SO, THERE CAN BE NO PEACE UNTIL HEALING OF MEMORIES, THUS THE CONUMDRUM OF THE CHICKEN OR THE EGG IS IN PLAY.
Organised by the WCC together with a number of Christian World Communions, the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA) and the Roman Catholic Church, the consultation is a continuation of an ecumenical process launched by the WCC in response to "A Common Word," a letter signed by 138 Muslim scholars and addressed to Christian leaders around the world in October 2007.
THE ‘RC’ AND THE ‘WEA’ CONSULTATION PROCESS IN RESPONSE TO ‘A COMMON WORD’ LETTER, IS JUST A LOAD OF CRAP. THE MUSLIM CANNOT AND NEVER WILL CHANGE THEIR VIEWPOINT OR ANY IDEOLOGIES, AND REALLY, WHY SHOULD THEY. IT IS JUST THE SAME AS THEM EXPECTING US TO CHANGE OUR VIEWPOINT…IT JUST IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN, AT LEAST NOT WITHOUT ONE SIDE CAPITULATING TO THE OTHER.
Rather than producing a written response to the letter by the Muslim scholars, the goal of the consultation was to provide a space for churches and communions of churches to share their initiatives and theological resources for engaging with Muslims, and to identify substantial issues for Christian theology in relation to Christian-Muslim dialogue.
THERE CAN BE NO WRITTEN RESPONSE THAT WILL AGREE WITH THE POLITICAL IDEOLY OF ISLAM. ANY INITIATIVE IS TOTALLY FUTILE.
WHAT SORT OF INITIATIVES AND THEOLOGICAL RESOURCES FOR ENGAGING WITH MUSLIMS TO IDENTIFY SUBSTANTIAL ISSUES FOR CHRISTIAN THEIOLOGY IN RELATION TO CHRISTIAN-MUSLIM DIALOGUE WOULD THEY REALLY WANT?
Participants agreed on the need for further ecumenical exploration of theological issues pertaining to Muslim-Christian dialogue and invited the organisers to facilitate the process. A report on the consultation, including the presentations delivered and an account of the findings will be published by the end of the year.
HOW MUCH MONEY IS THIS COSTING? WHO IS PAYING FOR THIS? IS THIS MONEY BEING TAKEN FROM THE TITHES OF CHURCH GOERS? ARE THE SAUDI’S PAYING FOR THIS? THERE ARE TOO MANY QUESTIONS TO BE ASKED AND I DOUBT IF EITHER PARTY WOULD BE ABLE TO COME UP WITH ANSWERS TO SATISFY THE ORDINARY PERSON. I THINK IT’S A BIT RICH CONSIDERING THAT CHRISTIANS AND JEWS COULD NOT BE INVOLVED IN DIALOGUE WITHIN SAUDI LAND.
IF THE MUSLIM LEADERS TRULY WANTED PEACE THEN THEY WOULD START BY PROSECUTING THOSE WHO PERSECUTE THE CHRISTIANS AND JEWS OF THIS WORLD. UNTIL THEN I WILL NEVER BELIEVE A WORD THEY SAY. EQUALLY SO FOR THE WEA AND WCC.
THIS IS ANOTHER REASON WHY I WILL NOT BELONG TO ANY DENOMINATION. THEY ARE ALL BECOMING AN ABOMINATION FOR MY EYES.
MANY FALSE MESSIAHS AND LEADERS WILL COME TO BLIND THE PEOPLE FROM THE TRUTH, AND MANY PEOPLE WILL BE BLINDED BY THEM.

Proselytizing Islam at Penn

http://www.campus-watch.org/blog/2008/10/proselytizing-islam-at-penn.html Islam Awareness Week 2008 is underway at the University of Pennsylvania. Organized by the Muslim Students Association, Islam Awareness Week also has academic sponsors, including the university's Middle East Center.
While "awareness" may be a laudable goal, blatant proselytizing is another matter entirely. Yet today's event, "State and Need for Dawah in the West," promises just that. Here is the description (received by e-mail; emphasis added):
Harvard Chaplain and well-studied individual of Islam, Taha Abdul-Basser will deliver the Friday sermon on the lack of Dawah (invitation) on the part of Muslims in North America, not only to convey a message of submission to God alone but also to wash away misconceptions some share about Islam. Seven years after 9/11, Taha Abdul-Basser will elucidate on the importance of such education, sharing important Prophetic narratives and other occurrences in Islamic tradition that epitomize the magnitude of this act. We expect many non-Muslims to observe our Jummah outside, visually understanding the importance of this holy day.
THIS NEXT PARAGRAPH IS ALL WHAT PEOPLE NEED TO LEARN ABOUT.
Clearly, the "need for Dawah in the West" is being met at the University of Pennsylvania. Unfortunately, it's coming courtesy of the Muslim Students Association, an organization tainted by Saudi/Wahhabi funding, ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, and a history of inviting radical and anti-Semitic speakers to its events.
THIS IS PART OF THE WORLD-WIDE PLAN THAT HAS BEEN IN PLACE FOR QUITE AWHILE NOW AND THEY HAVE PLANS TO KEEP IT GOING UNTIL THEY HAVE CONQUERED THE WORLD AND HAS IT UNDER TOTAL ISLAMIC RULE.
Moreover, why would the Middle East Center cosponsor such an event given its overtly religious nature? It amounts to the Middle East Center doing its own version of Dawah. Would the same Center, or any academic department, co-sponsor an event involving evangelical Christian proselytizing? I very much doubt it. But when it comes to Islam, propriety goes out the window.
NO, THEY WOULD NOT BECAUSE IT MIGHT INSULT THE SENSITIVITIES OF THE MUSLIM MIND-SET.

Time short for murderous Bali Bombers
Bali bombers to be executed within weeks 20:07 AEST Fri Oct 24 20083 hours 34 minutes ago.
Amrozi and Ali Ghufron will die next month. so far Three Islamic militants will be shot dead on their prison island early next month for their roles in the 2002 Bali bombings.
The bombers will be put to death in "early November" on Nusakambangan Island, off Central Java, where their high-security jail is located, a spokesman for Indonesia's Attorney General's office says.
He also indicated that the Attorney General did not believe there were valid grounds for any further legal appeals by Amrozi, his brother Mukhlas and Imam Samudra.
"Indonesia's Attorney General is stating that the legal efforts in the terrorism criminal case, on behalf of the defendant Amrozi ... and his friends, has been final," spokesman Jasman Pandjaitan said.
"The plan for the death executions ... will be implemented in early November 2008."
He added: "Based on the letter from the minister of law and human rights ... the execution for the death convicted, Imam Samudra and his friends, will be located in Nusakambangan, Cilacap District, by the execution team."
The three men were sentenced to die for playing lead roles in the 2002 Bali nightclub bombings, which killed 202 people including 88 Australians.
They claim they are ready to die, but that others will take revenge if their executions are carried out. (I THOUGHT THEIR CRONIES WOULD BE CELEBRATING THEIR MARTYRDOM. AND THE FAMILIES COULD GO TO THEIR GRAVE-SHRINES AND DO THEIR ULULATING THERE.)
Meanwhile, their defence lawyers continue to plan ways to stall the executions.
On Thursday, defence lawyer Achmad Kholid said a new appeal against the death sentences would be lodged by the bombers' families, possibly as soon as next week.
But that now seems like a futile exercise, given the position of the Attorney General that legal efforts in the case are "final".
Earlier this week, Indonesia's Constitutional Court rejected a side challenge by the bombers, who claimed that death by firing squad was unconstitutional and amounted to torture.
They said it was cruel and inhumane because they may not die immediately.
( THEY WILL DIE A LOT QUICKER THAN THE VICTIMS OF THE BOMBINGS DID.)
But the court reaffirmed the method of execution used in Indonesia, saying no execution method could be guaranteed to be pain-free.
(MAYBE THEY COULD BE GIVEN A PANADOL BEFORE HAND.)

I certainly hope there is going to be some type of independent witnesses to this...Maybe some Ambassadors from a couple of different countries that are NOT islamic, will do.
I could not stand thinking that are still part of this world.

3 YELLOW ROSES
3 Yellow Roses.
I walked into the grocery store not particularly interested in buying groceries. I wasn't hungry. The pain of losing my husband of 57 years was still too raw. And this grocery store held so many sweet memories.
He often came with me and almost every time he'd pretend to go off and look for something special. I knew what he was up to. I'd always spot him walking down the aisle with the three yellow roses in his hands.
He knew I loved yellow roses. With a heart filled with grief, I only wanted to buy my few items and leave, but even grocery shopping was different since he had passed on.
Shopping for one took time, a little more thought than it had for two.
Standing by the meat, I searched for the perfect small steak and remembered how he had loved his steak.
Suddenly a woman came beside me. She was blonde, slim and lovely in a soft green pantsuit. I watched as she picked up a large package of T-bones, dropped them in her basket...hesitated, and then put them back.
She turned to go and once again reached for the pack of steaks…
She saw me watching her and she smiled. 'My husband loves T-bones, but honestly, at these prices, I don't know.'
I swallowed the emotion down my throat and met her pale blue eyes.
'My husband passed away eight days ago,' I told her. Glancing at the package in her hands, I fought to control the tremble in my voice. 'Buy him the steaks. And cherish every moment you have together.'
She shook her head and I saw the emotion in her eyes as she placed the package in her basket and wheeled away.
I turned and pushed my cart across the length of the store to the dairy products. There I stood; trying to decide which size milk I should buy. A Quart, I finally decided and moved on to the ice cream. If nothing else, I could always fix myself an ice cream cone.
I placed the ice cream in my cart and looked down the aisle toward the front. I saw first the green suit, and then recognized the pretty lady coming towards me. In her arms she carried a package. On her face was
the brightest smile I had ever seen. I would swear a soft halo encircled her blonde hair as she kept walking toward me, her eyes holding mine.
As she came closer, I saw what she held and tears began misting in my eyes. 'These are for you,' she said and placed three beautiful long stemmed yellow roses in my arms. 'When you go through the line, they
will know these are paid for.' She leaned over and placed a gentle kiss on my cheek, then smiled again. I wanted to tell her what she'd done, what the roses meant, but still unable to speak, I watched as she walked
away as tears clouded my vision.
I looked down at the beautiful roses nestled in the green tissue wrapping and found it almost unreal. How did she know? Suddenly the answer seemed so clear. I wasn't alone.
Oh, you haven't forgotten me, have you? I whispered, with tears in my eyes. He was still with me, and she was his angel.
WE ALL TEND TO SOMETIMES FORGET ABOUT THE THINGS IN LIFE WE SHOULD BE GRATEFUL FOR.
MANY PEOPLE TEND TO FORGET ABOUT LIVING LIFE ANEW EVERYDAY.
SO
Every day be thankful for what you have and who you are.
Even though I clutch my blanket and growl when the alarm rings. Thank you, Lord, that I can hear...There are many who are deaf.
Even though I keep my eyes closed against the morning light as long as possible. Thank you, Lord, that I can see. Many are blind.
Even though I huddle in my bed and put off rising.. Thank you, Lord, that I have the strength to rise. There are many who are bedridden.
Even though the first hour of my day is hectic, when socks are lost, toast is burned, tempers are short, and my children are so loud. Thank you, Lord, for my family. There are many who are lonely.
Even though our breakfast table never looks like the picture in magazines and the menu is at times unbalanced. Thank you, Lord, for the food we have. There are many who are hungry.
Even though the routine of my job often is monotonous. Thank you, Lord, for the opportunity to work.. There are many who have no job or are unable to work.
Even though I grumble and bemoan my fate from day to day and wish my circumstances were not so modest. Thank you, Lord, for life and all that I do have.
You are welcome to Pass this on to the friends you know. It might help a bit to make this world a better place to live, right?
A friend is someone we turn to when our spirits need a lift.
A friend is someone to treasure as we are treasured.
For the LORD’S friendship is a gift.
A friend is someone who is sent from above who fills our lives with Beauty, Joy, and Grace and makes the world we live in a better and happier place.
LORD, AS MANY FRIENDS AS YOU HAVE BLESSED ME WITH, ABOVE ALL OTHERS, YOU ARE MY TRUEST FRIEND!

The crocheted tablecloth.
The crocheted tablecloth.
A beautiful story.... makes you understand that things happen for a reason.
The brand new pastor and his wife, newly assigned to their first ministry, to reopen a church in suburban Brooklyn , arrived in early October excited about their opportunities When they saw their church, it was very run down and needed much work. They set a goal to have everything done in time to have their first service on Christmas Eve.
They worked hard, repairing pews, plastering walls, painting, etc, and on December 18
were ahead of schedule and just about finished. On December 19 a terrible tempest - a driving rainstorm hit the area and lasted for two days. On the 21st, the pastor went over to the church.
His heart sank when he saw that the roof had leaked, causing a large area of plaster about 20 feet by 8 feet to fall off the front wall of the sanctuary just behind the pulpit, beginning about head high.
The pastor cleaned up the mess on the floor, and not knowing what else to do but postpone the Christmas Eve service, headed home. On the way he noticed that a local business was having a flea market type sale for charity so he stopped in. One of the items was a beautiful, handmade, ivory coloured, crocheted tablecloth with exquisite work, fine colours and a Cross embroidered right in the centre. It was just the right size to cover up the hole in the front wall. He bought it and headed back to the church.
By this time it had started to snow. An older woman running from the opposite direction was trying to catch the bus.. She missed it. The pastor invited her to wait in the warm church for the next bus 45 minutes later.
She sat in a pew and paid no attention to the pastor while he got a ladder, hangers, etc., to put up the tablecloth as a wall tapestry. The pastor could hardly believe how beautiful it looked and it covered up the entire problem area.
Then he noticed the woman walking down the centre aisle. Her face was like a sheet.. 'Pastor,'she asked, 'where did you get that tablecloth?' The pastor explained. The woman asked him to check the lower right corner to see if the initials, EBG were crocheted into it there. They were. These were the initials of the woman, and she had made this tablecloth 35 years before, in Austria
The woman could hardly believe it as the pastor told how he had just gotten the Tablecloth. The woman explained that before the war she and her husband were well-to-do people in Austria ..
When the Nazis came, she was forced to leave. Her husband was going to follow her the next week.. He was captured, sent to prison and never saw her husband or her home again.
The pastor wanted to give her the tablecloth; but she made the pastor keep it for the church. The pastor insisted on driving her home, that was the least he could do.. She lived on the other side of Staten Island and was only in Brooklyn for the day for a housecleaning job.
What a wonderful service they had on Christmas Eve. The church was almost full. The music and the spirit were great. At the end of the service, the pastor and his wife greeted everyone at the door and many said that they would return.
One older man, whom the pastor recognized from the neighborhood continued to sit in one of the pews and stare, and the pastor wondered why he wasn't leaving.
The man asked him where he got the tablecloth on the front wall because it was identical to one that his wife had made years ago when they lived in Austria before the war and how could there be two tablecloths so much alike.
He told the pastor how the Nazis came, how he forced his wife to flee for her safety and he was supposed to follow her, but he was arrested and put in a prison.. He never saw his wife or his home again all the 35 years in between.
The pastor asked him if he would allow him to take him for a little ride. They drove to Staten Island and to the same house where the pastor had taken the woman three days earlier.
He helped the man climb the three flights of stairs to the woman's apartment, knocked on the door and he saw the greatest Christmas reunion he could ever imagine.
True Story - submitted by Pastor Rob Reid Who says God does not work in mysterious ways.. I asked the Lord to bless you as I prayed for you today, to guide you and protect you as you go along your way. His love is always with you, His promises are true, and when we give Him all our cares you know He will see us through.
So when the road you're traveling on seems difficult at best.. Just remember I'm here praying and God will do the rest. Pass this on to those you want God to bless and don't forget to send it back to the one who asked God to bless you first.
When there is nothing left but God, that is when you find out that God is all you need. Take 60 seconds and give this a shot! All you do is simply say the following small prayer for the person who sent you this.
Father, God, bless all my friends and family in what ever it is that You know they may be needing this day! May their life be full of your peace, prosperity and power and HEALTH!!!!! as he/she seeks to have a closer relationship with you. Amen.
