prison breeding grounds

This is a small section from JW 07-010-08.
Jailed extremists are free to brainwash potential recruits in prison, a report has warned.
The above sentence is an instructive example in how a choice of words can be employed in an attempt to slip some assumptions under the radar unchallenged. And it highlights the problem of pinning down who qualifies as "moderate" and who is "extreme" in the first place. It said that there is lack of resources to monitor them, adding that prison officials concentrate on watching convicted Islamist terrorists and ignore radicals convicted of lesser offences. Dr Peter Neumann from King's College London said governments across Europe should observe prisons more closely in the future as they were likely to become "major hubs" for terrorist recruitment. He suggested creating "jihadist prisons" in which to isolate Islamist militants from other prisoners, while warning such a policy would allow governments to be portrayed as "anti-Muslim". He says: "The prison systems have no capacity to control the activities of those convicted for lesser offences, some of whom are certain to engage in radicalisation and recruitment amongst the general prison population. "Yet, in our view, it is precisely this second category of prisoners...that would merit the greatest attention." The authors found prison officers lack the training to monitor radical imams who teach in a foreign language. A special branch officer interviewed for the report said Islamist militants are regarded as "heroes" once they were jailed. Is that before or after the "brainwashing?" Radicals are also targeting "vulnerable" asylum seekers and Muslim welfare agencies, the report found. The rise of prisons as centres of extremism has followed a crackdown on recruitment inside mosques, the authors found. Extremist recruiters have been forced out of mosques and on to the internet or "underground" by police, the security services and the vigilance of the mainstream Muslim community. The report, Recruitment and Mobilisation for the Islamist Militant Movement in Europe, was carried out for the European Commission. Posted by Marisol at October 7, 2008
This is good news in that it subtly acknowledges the simple fact that Islam is a cult and not a legitimate religion, as well as to the fact that 'moderation,' when it comes to Islam, means 'one who successfully hides the extent to which he is brainwashed and lies convincingly about his supremacist, genocidal, misogynist, pedophilic beliefs.' So why does it depress me that we're still lightyears from being able to acceptably call a spade a spade and that the problem is not prison culture, but PC culture? “It said that there is lack of resources to monitor them,”… how about CCTV and listening devices placed at advantageous positions around the cells..(Jail cells that is)… the money spent on this resource could be money well spent considering what terrorism is already costing the world, not taking into account the destruction of property and the taking of lives with the resulting economic failings of the family concerned.

…Dr Peter Neumann from King's College London said governments across Europe should observe prisons more closely in the future as they were likely to become "major hubs" for terrorist recruitment….

…Radicals are also targeting "vulnerable" asylum seekers and Muslim welfare agencies, the report found….A perfect breeding ground for them all to sit around and whinge about their ‘harsh conditions’ that are being provided to them by hard-working taxpayers, while they put their hands out for every bit of financial assistance they can get.

‘…the simple fact that Islam is a cult and not a legitimate religion’,… When is this ‘simple fact’ going to be acknowledged and dealt with? I can’t wait for the day when islam is labeled as a political ideology and therefore can be seen for what it is. But I fear that the day will not come while there are the bleeding hearts and do-gooders jumping up and down everytime a muslim is questioned or investigated because of his familial links with a proven terrorist from another country such as the Haneef case….or poor old David Hicks…oh yeah for sure he was over there fighting with the Taliban in the hope of selling them some raffle tickets yeah. Or jihad jack, just earning a living driving cabs, or that poor persecuted family in West Aust. That got so much media attention until it was actually proven that he and his family were up to their necks in it….and how about all the others that don’t make it to the tabloids…so as not to panic the people. The terror tactics that I have to read about in group forums because the media don’t print it. The only journo I am aware of that is brave enough to call a spade a spade is Andrew Bolt. While I do have respect for certain other journos, I can’t help being turned off them when one week they are reporting about muslim terrorists then the next week are appearing on TV chat shows with them, while the women are sitting their with their headscarves on and laughing away. Makes me sick.

Then the more I read of the persecution of Christians worldwide the angrier I get.

The majority of Australians were up in arms a few years ago when Jerry Adams of the IRA was heading to our shores, but as usual there were those who bleated about free speech and he is not a terrorist any longer…..The govt can manage to ban concerts from such people like gangster rappers etc. So why are so many here still willing to keep their heads in the proverbial bucket of sand….? Surely it has to be seeping through the cracks now that there is so much exposure to the ways of radicals/extremists. I am with the school of thought that there is NO moderates….you either are or are not a muslim…after all, no one can be just a little bit pregnant….

Come on Australian Politicians…start working for your employers….Us,. The Australian People…. Grow a spine and band together to get this islam categorized for what it is. Start putting a stop to muslim immigration…. Take any citizenship away from them no matter how long they have had it. Do not grant citizenship to the family members until they have been here for 5-10 years and then a Probation period, and then if they prove they cannot be loyal to Australia then rescind the citizenship and send them packing.
